You will see results immediately after having a lip filler treatment. We use the market’s longest-lasting and highest-quality FDA and Health Canada-approved filler lines. After having your first treatment and building up to achieve optimal results, subsequent treatments will often use less product for maintenance. A half syringe is considered a mini-lip or top-up; results can be expected to last 4-6 months. A full syringe with one of our many speciality techniques (like Julie Horne) with advanced placement and pillars can bring the longevity of the lip filler up to 12 months. Please note that this is person dependent, as some will metabolize filler faster than others.
Downtime involves some swelling and possible bruising and can last anywhere from 2-7 days; healing time is anywhere from 2-4 weeks to completely integrate with the tissue and deliver the final results.
There may be slight discomfort, but we use a strong prescription numbing cream for the most comfortable experience possible. Our physician assistants are very supportive and are trained in techniques to distract you and keep you comfortable.
Most of our lip filler techniques can be delivered in one sitting with one syringe. This varies depending on the treatment goals, the shape of your lip and whether or not we are also treating the lines around the lips. Some patients prefer to maintain twice a year with less filler to keep the results very subtle.
