The procedure can be performed immediately following an initial consultation. At that time, you will have a facial assessment to determine whether you will benefit from wrinkle-relaxing injections, the amount required, and the injection locations. Your medical history, allergies, etc., will be reviewed. Before your treatment, the injection areas are swabbed with antibacterial wipes. You will then be asked to frown, raise your eyebrows or squint. A few tiny injections will be administered via a fine needle to the identified muscle locations, targeted to address your specific issues directly. Our staff will ensure that you are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process. The treatment takes approximately 10-15 minutes and requires no recovery time. After receiving your treatment, you can return to your regular activity. The fine needles used typically don’t leave noticeable marks on your face. Still, some patients may experience some redness or a tiny bruise at the injection site, which can be concealed with a light makeup application. You will see an improvement within 7-10 days, with the final results in two weeks.
BOTOX®, Dysport and Nuceiva remain effective for 3 to 4 months, after which you can return to Clear Skin Victoria to repeat the process. Being treated at regular intervals gives you optimal long-term results. You can wait for longer intervals to be retreated or discontinue getting your wrinkle-relaxing injections at any time. In that case, the treated area will gradually revert to how it looked before your first treatment.
