Radiesse™ in Victoria, BC

What is Radiesse™?

Radiesse is an FDA-approved gel injection based on calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral typically found in bones and teeth. The filler restores lost volume and immediately plumps hollow facial areas. Unlike other filler types, due to its composition, Radiesse stimulates the gradual production of collagen. This means that the full results of the treatment are visible after several weeks. These delayed effects distinguish Radiesse from other dermal fillers.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for Radiesse™ ?

The procedure is ideal for those who experience deflation and sagging in the facial area. By providing collagen and structural volume to the recessed regions of the space, a Radiesse treatment restores the skin’s elasticity, smoothes wrinkle lines and creates a glowing, youthful appearance.

Radiesse™ can also be diluted and injected superficially as a collagen-stimulating agent without adding volume to the area. The Hyperdiluted Radiesse technique combines the filler with saline and lidocaine. At Clear Skin Laser & Wellness Group, we can harness this technique’s unique bio-active, collagen-producing power to rejuvenate the skin by improving texture & firmness, volume loss, wrinkles and even cellulite. This treatment slows down the ageing process and can lift and tighten skin.

how long does radiesse last?

The effects of a Radiesse treatment generally subside after 14-18 months. At that point, patients are advised to schedule another appointment.

how many treatments are needed?

For diluted Radiesse, we recommend 2 – 3 treatments performed 6-8 weeks apart for optimal results. To maintain results, we recommend a follow-up treatment approximately once per year.

I’ve Had Sculptra Or Dermal Filler When Can I Have Radiesse?

Sculptra, Dermal Fillers and Radiesse can all be part of a long-term treatment plan at certain intervals and in different facial areas for optimal results and benefits. This must be discussed and mapped out before treating with Radiesse.
